Insertion of Aligners

  • You may insert either the upper or lower arch first, based on your comfort.
  • Place the aligner over your teeth and give a gentle push over the front teeth until it is seated comfortably.
  • Using your fingertips, press over the back teeth (right and left sides together) to ensure a proper fit.
  • Gently press the aligner until it is snugly seated over all teeth.
  • Do not bite the aligners to push them into place, as this can cause damage.
  • If you experience difficulty, use the provided chewies to help seat the aligner correctly.

Using Chewies

  • After inserting your aligners, place the chewies between your teeth.
  • Bite down gently but firmly on the chewies to help the aligners adapt and fit more accurately.
  • Move the chewies around different areas of your mouth to ensure the aligners are fully seated.
  • This step helps to eliminate small gaps between the teeth and aligner, ensuring optimal fit and effectiveness.

Removal

Removal of Aligners

  • Use your fingers to gently remove the aligners.
  • Begin from the back molar region (either right or left) and gradually move towards the other side.
  • Once loosened, lift the aligner off carefully to avoid bending or breaking.
  • After removal, always place the aligner in the provided storage box.
  • If you face difficulty, use the aligner removal tool supplied in your kit.
  • Do not use sharp objects to remove the aligners, as this can damage both your aligners and your teeth.

Usage Guidelines

  • Wear each aligner for 20–22 hours per day for 1–2 weeks, as advised by your orthodontist.
  • Aligners must be worn at all times, except while eating, drinking (other than water), or brushing your teeth.
  • Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling aligners.
  • After removal, rinse the aligners with clean water and gently brush with a soft toothbrush before storing them in the provided protective case.
  • Move to the next aligner in sequence after 1–2 weeks, only after completing the prescribed wear time for the current set.
  • For best comfort, it is recommended to switch to a new aligner at night, helping ease the initial tightness or discomfort.

Storage Instructions

  • Always store your aligners in the protective case provided when they are not in use. This ensures their safety and longevity.
  • Do not keep your aligners in your pocket, tissue, or any open surface, as they may get damaged, contaminated, or lost.
  • Keep aligners away from children and pets to avoid accidental damage or swallowing.
  • Each aligner is supplied with its respective CAD/CAM 3D-printed model, which must also be stored carefully and preserved until the completion of treatment.

Aligners

Loss or Damage of Aligners/Models

  • If your aligner or 3D model is lost or broken, contact your orthodontist immediately.
  • Your orthodontist will order a replacement aligner or model, which will be delivered within a few days.
  • In the meantime, continue wearing your previous aligner set to maintain tooth position and avoid disrupting your treatment progress.

Cleaning Instructions

  • Always remove your aligners while eating or drinking (except plain water).
  • Clean aligners before and after use with a soft toothbrush under cold running water, both morning and night.
  • After every meal, rinse your mouth with water to eliminate food particles before reinserting your aligners.
  • Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing your teeth at least twice daily.
  • Once a week, clean your aligners using the provided cleansing tablet by soaking them in water for about an hour.

Things to Avoid

  • Never clean aligners with hot water – it can warp or damage the material.
  • Do not use alcohol-based beverages or mouthwash while wearing aligners, as they may stain or weaken them.
  • Do not neglect oral hygiene – poor cleaning can lead to cavities, stains, or bad odor.
  • Do not skip cleaning aligners – they must be cleaned with a soft toothbrush and cold running water morning and night.
  • Do not reinsert aligners after meals without rinsing your mouth – food particles may get trapped and cause dental issues.
  • Always remember: Maintaining proper oral hygiene and following these care tips will ensure effective treatment and long-lasting aligners.

Attachments

  • Attachments are small, clear or tooth-colored buttons placed on your teeth by your dentist.
  • They play a crucial role in helping aligners move teeth more effectively and efficiently.
  • Attachments are hardly visible, blending naturally with your teeth.
  • The number of attachments may vary — one or more may be required depending on your treatment plan.
  • If an attachment breaks or falls off, contact your orthodontist immediately to have it reattached or rebonded.

Custom Marking on Models

  • Each aligner model is etched with a unique code to help identify the correct set and jaw.
  • Example: SAS 000 / S40 000 with UL / UR along with a number indicates the subset model and arch (upper left, upper right, etc.).
  • This ensures that every aligner is used in the right sequence and position during treatment.
